Windsor Pool is for members and paid guests only. All members and guests must sign in and be checked in before entering the pool. All guests must be accompanied by the member and all guest fees must be paid when entering. Guests fees are $5.00 per guest per visit. There is a limit of 10 visits per season per guest. A guest is any individual that is not a member of the Windsor Pool; this includes family and non-family. Babysitters and caregivers are excluded from the $5.00 guest fee if their name has been listed on the Family Registration Form and they are bringing the children. GUEST MAXIMUM PER DAY IS 8 GUESTS PER MEMBERSHIP *Any child under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult/individual 14 years or older. That individual must be listed as a babysitter or a family member and will be held totally responsible for the child’s actions.
Swim Test: Any child 10-17 yrs. of age or entering the 5th grade in the fall of the upcoming school year, must pass the swim test before being allowed to use the pool without adult supervision. The lifeguards will conduct the swim test on each child. The test consists of swimming the length of the pool (down and back) and being able to tread water for 2 minutes.
No one is allowed to use the pool unless there is approved lifeguard supervision. The lifeguards are in charge during pool hours. Lifeguards are not permitted to have guests while working.
Members may not have a food or guest tab.
No running, pushing or rowdy loud behavior. Portable radios are to be kept at a low volume. All members/guests are to refrain from abusive language, offensive clothing and/or body art. The lifeguard will caution members/guests using profanities. If this persists, the member/guest will be asked to leave the pool area and will then be reported to the Windsor Pool Board for suspension of pool privileges
All NC ABC and Smoking Laws must be observed at all times. Everyone is urged to be responsible. When smoking, eating, or drinking please respect the rights of others. All litter, including food, must be picked up and cleaned up prior to leaving the pool. Smokers must use ashtrays. Please get an ashtray from the Concession Stand. No food or drinks of any kind allowed on the pool edge or in the pool. No glass of any kind is permitted in the pool area. This is for the protection of all members/guests.
The following are not allowed in the pool area or walkways: Scooters, bikes, animals, skateboards, roller skates, boogie boards, roller blades, ragged cut off pants, foreign objects such as hair pins, chewing gum, etc.. No unlicensed motorized vehicles are allowed on the property.
Please do not block the walking area around the pool by placing furniture, floats, etc. close to the pool’s edge. Do not block entry into the pool by sitting on the pool steps or ladders.
The pool is open only during posted hours. Any person/s found in the pool area during non-posted hours will be Trespassing and subject to arrest, prosecution and loss of pool privileges.
The Baby Pool is intended for babies and toddlers. Older children should not use the baby pool during lifeguard breaks. Babies and toddlers using the baby pool are required to use swim diapers.
For information on reserving the shelter, please see a worker in the Concession Stand for a form. Only the manager or asst. manager may book parties or make changes to dates/times.
The lifeguard/s may rule on situations not specifically covered in the above rules. Rules will be reviewed and changed by the Board as needed. Concerns and suggestions about pool operations should be presented in writing in a sealed envelope and mailed to: Windsor Pool Association, Secretary, PO Box 1108, Winterville, NC 28590.
